Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Tenants: name, email, phone, and address given at registration; listing content, photos, video, and documents you submit.
- Disputers: name, email, phone, company name, a verification document, an ID photo, and any optional response text or corrective media submitted with a dispute.
- Advertisers: name, company name, email, phone, billing address, and ad creative.
- Everyone: standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, request details) generated by normal web traffic.
- Payments: processed directly by Stripe. RentalFacts.online does not receive or store your full card number.
2. What's shown publicly
A listing's title, description, category, hashtags, and any photos/video/documents you attach are public once published. Your name, phone, and email are shown on a listing only if you explicitly turn on that display option — they are off by default. Dispute materials (verification documents, ID photos, response text, and corrective media) are never shown publicly; only the admin-written resolution summary is published, once a dispute is resolved.
3. Masked display on funnel pages
Where a masked version of your email or phone is shown (for example, on a status or confirmation page), it reflects the address or number on file at the time you submitted your original consent form or listing — not a live lookup — so it always matches the record that was actually collected.
4. How long we keep information
Listings and admin communications are never deleted, in any circumstance. Personal information tied to a listing, and materials submitted with a dispute, are currently retained for approximately five years from submission — this figure is a working estimate pending final legal review, not a firm commitment, and this policy will be updated once that review is complete. There is no mechanism, including on request, for early deletion of this data.
5. Who can see private information
Non-public information (your unmasked contact details, dispute materials, communications) is visible only to RentalFacts.online administrators, and only as needed to operate the platform, review disputes, or respond to you directly.
6. Translation
If you use RentalFacts.online in a language other than English, your submitted text may be sent to Microsoft's translation service to generate the alternate-language version shown on the page. Only the text content itself is sent — never account credentials or payment information.
7. Cookies and tracking
RentalFacts.online uses a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms from cross-site request forgery. It does not currently use third-party advertising trackers.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the platform's functionality changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
